- Collaborate with Plant Pathologists - Additional collaborative work with SDSU plant pathologists is exploring methods to control bacterial leaf diseases of wheat.
- Explore Microorganisms in western South à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã - On another track, several pure cultures of microorganisms isolated from sites in western South à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã environments are being explored for their potential as endophytes to protect plants from pathogens.
- Examine Subsurface Environments - Other microbial strains isolated from deep subsurface environments are being examined for use in bioprocessing of lignocellulosic materials and/or biogeochemical transformations.
