Biography
Dr. Michael Nagy is an associate professor of medieval English literature at South à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã State University. He received his B.A. and M.A. in English at Kent State University and his Ph.D. in medieval literature at Saint Louis University. He teaches undergraduate and graduate courses on Old English, Middle English and Old Norse language and literature and on the influence of those disciplines on modern fantasy fiction. His research focuses on the philological and cultural underpinnings of Old English and Old Norse Sapiential literature and on the social and political uses of trolls in medieval Scandinavian poetry and prose.CV
