Donald D. Haselhorst became involved in development engineering for magnetic memories with Sperry Rand, of Minneapolis, Minnesota, following his graduation from South à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã State College. In 1959 he was development engineer and vice-president of engineering for Fabri-Teck Incorporated of Minneapolis. He then became president and chief executive officer of the Nicolet Instrument Corp., of Madison, Wisconsin. Haselhorst’s honors include Outstanding Young Men of America in 1965, Wisconsin Men of Achievement in 1975 and Leaders in Electronics and Who’s Who in the Midwest in 1978. The Nicolet Instrument Corp. sponsored grants to the Department of Audiology at the University of Wisconsin and provided two employees to teach graduate course in biomedical engineering. His wife Nancy Wilz Haselhorst provided significant gifts to the South à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã State University College of Engineering in both their names.
