Marvin J. Willrodt graduated from South à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã State College after his studies were interrupted by World War II and three years of service in the U.S. Army Signal Corps. He later completed graduate work at the University of Illinois. Willrodt began his career working for the Hewlett-Packard Corp. In 1951. His early work was with the research and development group in the field of high-speed electronic counters, printers, precision frequency standards and related equipment. He later worked as an applications engineer with the sales group, serving as technical liaison with the Hewlett-Packard field sales people as well as customers. He was also involved in preparing and conducting technical training programs on equipment in Japan, Australia and the Far East. He was a member of several technical and professional societies.
