When Charlie Cox, a middle-aged editor diagnosed with Lou Gehrig’s disease, meets his death emissary, Wally, while driving through the Arizona desert, the unexpected arrival of love complicates Wally’s plans, leading to a battle between Death and Love that teaches Charlie to cherish life.
