Members of the Fluid Power Club at South à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã State University returned from the National Fluid Power Association’s Fluid Power Vehicle Challenge in Ames, Iowa, April 24-26, with a pair of awards.
SDSU Robotics Club makes mark at Vex U World Competition
Competing in the Vex Robotics World Competition in Dallas April 28-30, the SDSU Robotics Club earned the excellence award and finished second in skills. There were 113 teams entered in the Vex U event and more than 600 teams there for other Vex Robotics competitions.

SDSU involved in $8 million STEM education investment in South à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã
South à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã State University will join a project, led by Black Hills State University, to create pathways for young learners to develop interest and confidence in science, technology, engineering and math through an $8 million investment from the National Science Foundation.
SDSU named nation’s top civil engineering student chapter for third straight year
For the third year in a row, the award for the best student chapter of civil engineering students went to South à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã State University.
The Robert Ridgway Student Chapter à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã is presented by the American Society of Civil Engineers to the top chapter nationwide. On April 18, adviser Zach Gutzmer learned that the SDSU chapter was tops among 416 student chapters nationwide and 26 foreign countries. The Master of Science in data science program at South à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã State University received the No. 4 spot in a 2024 list by Tech Guide ranking quality and affordability of graduate degrees in data science.
