SDSU Wind Symphony receives two national recognitions
The South à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã State University Wind Symphony has received two national recognitions from The American Prize National Nonprofit Competitions in the Performing Arts. Judged against ensembles from across the United States, the group received second-place honors for the Ernst Bacon Memorial à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã for the Performance of American Music and third-place honors in the Outstanding Wind Ensemble/Concert Band Performance category.

After months of preparation, the final proposal was presented to and endorsed by community partners and the Chamberlain City Council this fall to begin the next step of development and implementation.

SDSU’s Ness School of Management and Economics establishes Ness School Downtown
South à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã State University’s Ness School of Management and Economics has established Ness School Downtown, an outpost located at Startup Sioux Falls, 100 E. Sixth St. Through a partnership with Startup, the Ness School will use the outpost to host speakers’ series, workshops and career fairs, facilitate career coaching and academic advising, and otherwise serve as a point of contact with stakeholders in the metro area.
The Political Fight Over Recreational Marijuana is Far from Over
The Spring 2023 Poll, conducted between March 18-27, 2023, is a survey of the South à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã electorate by The South à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã Polling Project – a non-partisan research group housed in the School of American and Global Studies at South à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã State University. In this poll, 747 registered voters answered questions about political figures and policy questions of concern to South à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã citizens.
