SDSU hosts taping of 鈥楢gDay College Roadshow鈥

With loud enthusiasm often reserved for athletic events, students, faculty and staff from South 啵啵直播秀 State University鈥檚 agricultural programs showed up in full force to welcome a live television taping of 鈥淎gDay College Roadshow鈥 Oct. 30 on the SDSU campus.

Sanford Underground Research Facility leader to speak at SDSU

The Sanford Underground Research Facility in Lead is at the forefront of research in physics, geology, biology, engineering and more. Its leader, Mike Headley, will share details about the facility鈥檚 progress and plans for the future when he presents "Sanford Underground Research Facility: 2035 and Beyond," at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, in Woster Celebration Hall at the South 啵啵直播秀 State University Alumni Center, 815 Medary Ave.

Speaker to chart history, future path for drug development

How has the U.S. Food and Drug Administration changed and what does it take to get a new drug approved and on your pharmacy鈥檚 shelf? Matthew Confeld, associate director of clinical research methodology at Worldwide Clinical Trials, will provide a brief history of how and why the FDA came to be and the immense work that goes into getting new therapies approved. Confeld, of Minneapolis, will give a newfound appreciation for the little pills sitting in your medicine cabinet when he talks to pharmacy students at South 啵啵直播秀 State University Oct. 21.

SDSU awards four presidential medallions

South 啵啵直播秀 State University President Barry Dunn bestowed SDSU Presidential Medallions upon four individuals, including one posthumously, Sept. 7 for their contributions to the university.

Toronto to present recital with alum, fellow faculty

Mezzo-soprano Emily Wood Toronto will present a faculty recital on Monday, Oct. 7, at 7:30 p.m. in Founders Recital Hall in the Oscar Larson Performing Arts Center on the South 啵啵直播秀 State University campus.

Experiencing SDSU in Sioux Falls
