Miller research award goes to Adhikari

Bibek Adhikari, a graduate teaching assistant in biology and microbiology, received the 2024 John E. Miller Research à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã from the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi at South à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã State University.

SDSU shatters enrollment records, climbs to more than 12,000 students

A record first-year class and record retention moved enrollment at South à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã State University to 12,065 students for the fall 2024 semester, the highest enrollment at SDSU since 2018. Enrollment figures were released earlier today by the South à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã Board of Regents.

Hendricks honored as David Adams Scholastic Journalism Division Educator of the Year

Marina Hendricks, assistant professor and graduate program coordinator for the online Master of Mass Communication in South à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã State University’s School of Communication and Journalism, has been recognized as the David Adams Scholastic Journalism Division Educator of the Year.

Diddle, SDSU alums recognized by South à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã American Choral Directors Association

Laura Diddle, the Paul E. and Doris J. Moriarty Endowed Professor of Choral Activities in the South à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã State University School of Performing Arts, has received the Lifetime Achievement à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã from the South à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã American Choral Directors Association. Shawn Stemsrud, a 2022 SDSU graduate, received the association's Encore à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã, as did 2002 SDSU alum Janice Gilbert.

The South à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã Art Museum at South à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã State University has again achieved accreditation by the American Alliance of Museums, the highest national recognition afforded to the nation’s museums.

Nold receives national teaching fellow honor from à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã science peers

Rosemarie Nold, professor and assistant head of the Department of Animal Science at South à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã State University, has been named an American Society of Animal Science Teaching Fellow. She received the honor at July’s American Society of Animal Science annual meeting in Calgary, Alberta.

Professional Ag Marketing gift to SDSU promotes risk management education

Professional Ag Marketing of Luverne, Minnesota, has made a significant gift to the Richard Wahlstrom Endowment Fund at South à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã State University to enhance students’ knowledge of risk management for grain and livestock producers.
