The Association for Institutional Research is an international association for institutional researchers. The site provides a wealth of information regarding AIR, specifically, and, also, the practice of institutional research, generally. There is a calendar of upcoming AIR related events, AIR news, Affiliated Group news, an annual report, the AIR Grants Program, professional publications, IPEDS Training, links to other good sites and even employment opportunities. Also, membership costs for individuals or organizations are included, as well as the benefits of becoming a member. Check out the site for lots of great information regarding IR.

All you want to know about Integrated Post-secondary Educational Data System and it's surveys is here - what it is and how it is useful to your institution. This site is where you will find survey forms, data and publications. The Glossary link is also a very valuable tool. If you are a first time user of the IPEDS Executive Peer Tool or Peer Analysis System, there is a tutorial and instructions to help walk you through it.

IPEDS College Navigator is an easy way for students to start their search for college/university information. They can explore by region, state, zip code, type of institution or program. Or, if they know the name of the institution, they can use that. The information about the institution includes address and telephone contacts, degrees offered, tuition and other expenses and a link to that institution's home website. This is a great way to compare institutions or to find out which institutions are in your area. This website is advertised as a resource to high school students and parents through guidance counselors and financial aid offices.
