The Donald D. Johnson Papers include a narrative from around 1918, detailing the experiences of Swedish immigrant John P. (Johan Peter) Johnson between 1871 and 1879. Translated by Alma N. Lundin the narrative provides insight into the challenges and experiences of early Swedish settlers.

Also included is The Quill, a publication by students at Marion High School in Marion, South à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã. A note accompanying the publication states that it was published by Donald D. Johnson in memory of his parents.
