Manuscript Archives
The Manuscript Archives contains Papers, records and published materials of alumni and SDSU-individuals including the papers of Rep. Ben Reifel, Virginia Driving Hawk Sneve, Elizabeth Cook-Lynn and Bert Popowski. Some South à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã organization also house records here, including the South à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã Resources Coalition, South à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã Farm Bureau, South à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã Nurses Association, South à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã Humanities Council and the South à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã Farmers Union.
Manuscript collections come from a variety of sources. Many of the collections relate to rural life in South à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã but also include the papers of alumni. Most of the collections offer significant insight into South à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã or the region, but the primary focus of this collection is twentieth century rural South à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã. These materials may include:
- Papers, records and published materials of South à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã and alumni authors.
- Modern political papers, including grass roots politics and political figures associated with South à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã and South à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã State University.
- South à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã and regional materials—including, but not limited to, the papers of organizations, local businesses, community figures, families and especially material related to farming and its development in South à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã.
All material is be treated according to the guidelines set forth in individual gift agreements governing a particular collection and the policies and procedures of the Archives.
