The Testing Center (TC) provides test proctoring services for SDSU and other institutions of higher education for some online courses.
As of the Spring 2024 semester the Testing Center will revert back to our prepandemic policy (below) of not proctoring makeup exams. At this time it will once again be the department’s responsibility to proctor makeup tests regardless of reason.
Test proctoring services are NOT provided for SDSU on-campus students in regular face-to-face SDSU courses.
- Test proctoring for SDSU courses remains the responsibility of the faculty member teaching the course. This includes testing for students who have missed an exam due to illness, approved university trips, etc.
- Faculty need to arrange proctoring with their home department or college. These arrangements should be made prior to the start of class and clearly communicated to students.
- Hilton M. Briggs Library does not offer proctoring services
- Wintrode Student Success and Opportunity Center does not offer proctoring services
A physical photo ID must be presented before an exam will be administered. All test candidates must agree to follow SDSU's standards of academic conduct found in the Student Academic Misconduct and Academic Appeals policy.
Appointments must be made at least 24 hours in advance of testing.
There is a $15 non-refundable charge (includes a $3.50 RegisterBlast fee) per exam to proctor exams from institutions outside the South à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã Board of Regents system.
