Connecting you to campus ... and beyond

If you've noticed an extra buzz in the air here at SDSU, it's because something exciting is happening for our students and faculty—we are forming an Active Learning Cloud. The phrase "active learning" means just that—engaged, dynamic, interactive learning.

The active learning environment is enabled by cloud computing. Basically, a "cloud" consists of networked computers that distribute processing power, software applications and large systems amongst many types of devices (laptops, cell phones, etc.), giving students and faculty access to vast educational resources and information. To users, the active learning cloud is invisible, but what it can do will transform how we learn and teach.

For our Students
We have a growing wireless network across campus. SDSUStudent is available in all classrooms, labs, common areas and the residence hall rooms, too. Plus, tech support is available in case you have questions about any of these services. Why offer all this? Because we understand that the teaching of today requires access to information and technology resources like never before and at South à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã State, we're working to meet those needs, now and tomorrow.

For our Faculty and Researchers
Not only will you have access to a number of resources through the cloud, but we also provide an advanced high-performance computing environment. We lend our expertise to your projects to reduce the time it takes to run complex processes and help to increase levels of accuracy.
