Biology and Microbiology Students
The Department of Biology and Microbiology seeks to do more than simply train future employees for the job market; we seek to foster future leaders.
Participation in student groups and clubs build skills related to teamwork, networking, effective communication and group management as well as offer a component of community involvement and improvement.
The Biology and Microbiology Department provides an intellectually vibrant, collegial and interdisciplinary research environment for undergraduate students.

Established in 2012, BMGSA is an independent student representative body for graduate students in the department of biology and microbiology. We provide student support, services, events and professional development. We also present a series of scientific seminars and social activities to gather all young scientists under the same umbrella. Many events are hosted per semester by the BMGSA.
