South à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã State University provides an array of perks and amenities for our faculty and staff.

Employee Perks and Amenities

Employees must present their employee ID when making purchases in person to receive the discount. Online purchases will require the STAFF21 code at the time of checkout to receive the 10% discount.

Please note a couple of additional items:

  • Employees can use either the Jackrabbit Club discount (15%) OR employee discount (10%), but not both together.
  • Customers can stack this 10% discount with other store promotions such as Touchdown Tuesday or on clearance items.
  • The 10% employee discount will not be valid for in-store or online purchases during the annual Holiday Sale.

McCrory Gardens is a botanical garden and arboretum operated and maintained by South à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã State University. Employees receive free admission with up to six guests. Employees must present their employee ID at the time of admission.

SDSU faculty and staff may purchase discounted season tickets for SDSU Football by contacting the Jackrabbit Ticket Office at 605-688-5422 or sdsu.tickets@sdstate.edu.

Throughout the academic year, SDSU Athletics hosts various events where faculty and staff may secure complimentary or discounted tickets. These offers will be sent via email.

The Miller Wellness Center features over 100,000 square feet of fitness and recreation space with the latest fitness equipment and amenities to meet the needs of all our members. SDState benefited and non-benefited employees receive a discount on memberships and can take advantage of all the services and programs we have to offer. The Oscar Larson Performing Arts Center serves South à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã State University, the Brookings community and the Region. It is a state-of-the-art performing arts center that is the home for concerts, theatrical and dance performances, special events and SDSU’s School of Performing Arts. Employees receive special offers and promotions throughout the year.

Since 1970, the South à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã Art Museum in Brookings has been a destination for people from around the world to enjoy the artistic legacy of South à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã in all its diversity. Seven galleries feature more than a dozen new exhibits every year featuring a wide variety of artworks and themes, many with ties to South à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã and others that bring international perspectives. Employees receive special offers and promotions throughout the year.

The South à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã Agricultural Heritage Museum is the official state museum that collects, preserves and interprets the history, science of agriculture and rural life in South à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã. Employees receive special offers and promotions throughout the year.

Hilton M. Briggs Library serves all SDSU academic disciplines and holds approximately 680,000 bound volumes, 1 million microforms and over 600,000 government documents, in addition to 66,700 electronic journals. Reference librarians are available to assist in locating materials and conducting research. The library building offers a variety of collaborative and individual work spaces, including couches, tables, classrooms, study rooms and quiet areas.

Staff and faculty can present their employee ID and check out library items for up to one year including books, audio/visual materials, video services and South à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã State Park passes. Employees can also access online library services using their employee network login credentials as well as take advantage of the Interlibrary Loan service.

The , managed by Bright Horizons, offers National Association for the Education of Young Children-accredited programs for infants, toddlers/twos, preschool and kindergarten prep. SDSU employees, students, members of SDSU Foundation and members of SDSU Alumni Association will receive priority consideration to the center.

The Fishback Center for Early Childhood Education is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children and serves toddler, preschool and kindergarten aged children. The center also offers an Out of School Time program for kindergarteners enrolled in the kindergarten program. As a laboratory school, the center provides a setting in which excellence in developmentally appropriate practice and best practices in education theory can be observed, studied, used by teacher candidates and used by other pre-service school professionals. Employees and students of the university receive priority consideration for the center.

Work and eat on campus! offers a wide variety of dining options including Chick-fil-A, Starbucks, Einstein Bros. Bagels, Qdoba, Dairy Bar and so much more!

Products are for sale at the lab's retail space. Meat is NOT sold from research projects that may compromise food safety. The Meat Lab is a fully inspected facility, and all à£à£Ö±²¥Ðãs and meat products must pass government inspection before being sold.

Retired employees of South à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã State University are eligible to receive a free discount card from the SDSU Alumni Association to say thank you for your years of service to South à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã’s premier university. More information on the discount card is available at the .
