Career Fair attendance numbers continue to grow

With 635 students in attendance, the Feb. 12-13 Engineering Career Fair proved to be a great opportunity for student of all grade levels to meet prospective employers.
There were 288 students on hand Feb. 12 and 347 on Feb. 13 while the employer count was 101 on Feb. 12 and 90 on Feb. 13. Twenty-five firms attended both days. The first day is designated for majors from agricultural and biosystems engineering, architecture, construction management, concrete industry management and civil engineering.
On the next day, was agricultural and biosystems engineering, computational science and statistics, computer science, data science, electrical engineering, electronics engineering technology, engineering technology, mathematics and mechanical engineering.
While numbers are always higher at the October Engineering Career Fair, in comparing the February 2025 and February 2024 numbers, attendance was up 24% (635 to 513) and up 47% from 2023 (433).
While some students attend to gain a feel for prospective employers or look for an internship, others are looking for a job. There were 12 student interviews Feb. 12 and 25 on Feb. 13.
Career Fair also provide an opportunity to SDSU engineering alums to reconnect. There were approximately 45 alums back on Feb. 12 and another 55 on Feb. 13.
