Early Acceptance Programs

Gain peace of mind with early acceptance

The College of Nursing offers two pathways for early acceptance to make your transition into the nursing program worry free.

Early Assurance Program

For qualified first-time, prenursing students.

What is the Early Assurance Program?

Our College of Nursing Early Assurance Program allows students to apply for early assurance admission in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program directly from high school. Students complete three semesters of prenursing coursework while maintaining eligibility requirements and then move seamlessly into the B.S.N. program and earn a degree five semesters later.

To be considered for the Early Assurance Program, you must:

  • Have a minimum ACT composite score of 27 (SAT equivalent 1280).
  • Be admitted as a first-time, prenursing student through the SDSU Admissions Application.
  • Submit the College of Nursing Early Assurance Program Application.
    • The application will be available on this page in January each year until the deadline.
    • A copy of unofficial ACT or SAT scores must be submitted with the application.
    • All students who have completed college credits while in high school must submit an unofficial copy of their transcript from each institution attended at the time of application.

If you are unsure of your eligibility, please feel free to reach out to our Nursing Student Services Office.
