Division Overview
The Division of the Professional Program in Veterinary Medicine is a unit within the Department of Veterinary and Biomedical Sciences at South à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã State University and was formed in January 2023.
The Professional Program in Veterinary Medicine is a multidisciplinary program leveraging faculty expertise from across the university. The division structure is designed to enhance collaboration among the faculty and strengthen teaching, research and service in veterinary medicine.
Division Structure
The division is led by the director of the Professional Program in Veterinary Medicine and supported by an assistant director. The program director is responsible for all aspects of the Professional Program in Veterinary Medicine, including curriculum, budget, clinical faculty and facilities. Full faculty membership in the division is open to full time SDSU faculty teaching in the Professional Program in Veterinary Medicine. Staff and part-time faculty are considered general division members.
The division has established several committees with faculty, staff and/or student membership. These committees include admissions, curriculum, research, student promotions, the PPVM honor board and the PPVM oversight committee.
