This plywood cutout sign is an advertisement of Sokota brand hybrid corn seed. The jolly, card playing ears of corn were created by Milo Potas, Visual Aids Specialist with South ��ֱ���� Extension Service. Each ear of corn is wearing black, pointy toed shoes, black corn husk pants and have painted faces and hair. Each ear of corn is holding a hand of cards. The playing cards are normal cards, except the one held between the corns' hands.  That card is printed in red and reads Ts82. In the mid-1960s, Sokota developed Ts82, a late single cross corn seed. This hybrid cross is the base for many current northern corn hybrids. The sign was used at the Sokota Seed Company booth at the South ��ֱ���� State Fair.
