The Student Code explains what is considered computer misuse at SDSU.
Misuse of Computers - Theft of computer time or other abuse of computer access, including, but not limited to:
- 1:10:31:01 Unauthorized entry into a file to use, copy, read, delete or change the contents, or for any other purpose (Censure -- Expulsion).
- 01:10:31:02 Unauthorized transfer of a file (Censure -- Expulsion).
- 01:10:31:03 Unauthorized use of another individual's identification or account (Censure -- Expulsion).
- 01:10:31:04 Use of computing facilities to interfere with the work of another student, faculty member or institutional official (Censure -- Expulsion).
- 01:10:31:05 Use of computing facilities to send obscene or abusive messages or to engage in unlawful activities, including those involving uses that infringe intellectual properties (Censure -- Expulsion).
- 01:10:31:06 Use of computing facilities to interfere with the normal operation of the institutional computing system (Censure -- Expulsion).
- 01:10:31:07 Making, acquiring or using unauthorized copies of computer software, or violating terms of applicable software license agreements (Censure -- Expulsion).
- 01:10:31:08 Attempting to circumvent data protection schemes or tampering with security (Censure -- Expulsion).
- 01:10:31:09 Violating institutional or Board internet policies (Censure -- Expulsion).
