Faculty and Staff Internet

SDSUFacStaff

Wireless provided to faculty and staff users within the academic classrooms and study areas. The SDSUFacStaff network provides this connectivity. Faculty and staff will be notified about their credentials via their supervisor upon starting. Wireless access is not intended to provide coverage within faculty and staff offices.  A request can be made for that type of coverage here.


Eduroam

The campus also offers "eduroam" access within the campus and at selected remote sites. The "eduroam" network allows visiting members from other universities to connect to it with the credentials of their home institution. Their home institution must be a member of the .


Guest

For those visiting SDSU for a conference, presentation, or other activity, we provide an SDSUGuest network for you to use. Once connected to the guest network, open up your preferred browser, and you should be redirected to SDSU's Guest Registration page. Fill out the registration form and follow the directions to enable access. 


Ethernet

Wired network ports are available in all campus buildings and external locations owned and operated by the university. Network cable drops can be requested, at an additional cost, when there isn't an available port for you to use. Ports are not activated by default, but they can be activated by request.

Request a New Device:

  • Find the data port closest to your computer.
  • Locate the data port label and write it down (ex. 100-D01 or 213-03)
  • No label? Contact the SDSU Support Desk for assistance.
  • Fill out the  (requires InsideState access)

Deactivation or Move?

  • Make a note of the data port you wish to deactivate or move.
  • Is it not labeled? Contact the SDSU Support Desk for assistance.
  • Fill out the  (requires InsideState access)
