Well-regulated inflammation and immune responses enable the human body to eliminate invading pathogens, combat cancer, heal wounds, and restore affected organs or tissues to a functional state. In contrast, dysfunctional immune responses contribute to the development of cancers, chronic inflammation, and autoimmune diseases.
The BioSNTR-II enhances our grasp of the cellular and molecular processes involved in inflammation and immune response. These efforts yield fresh insight into inflammation and immunity, ultimately guiding the creation of new therapeutics and treatment approaches.
As South à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã State University’s first National Institutes of Health, Center of Biomedical Research Excellence (COBRE), we are a group of collaborative researchers using cutting-edge tools and training the next generation of scientists (postdoctoral, graduate and undergraduate) in biomedical research.
