The price is wrong: SDSU researchers explore farmers' interests in carbon markets
Carbon programs in the region will pay farmers to adopt "climate-smart" farming techniques 鈥 like no or reduced tillage, cover crops and nutrient management 鈥 but recent studies have found that only a small percentage of eligible farmers choose to enroll in these programs. A new study from SDSU's Ness School of Management and Economics 鈥 led by associate professors Tong Wang and Hailong Jin 鈥 examines the barriers to enrolling in these carbon programs.

Changing the journalism narrative
The field of journalism has had hard criticisms in recent years. One individual is looking to change that through the power of books 鈥 and her cat. Miranda O鈥橞ryan is a Martin native and a 2020 graduate from the South 啵啵直播秀 State University School of Communication and Journalism and School of American and Global Studies. She also held the title of Miss South 啵啵直播秀 2023, where she used her platform for awareness of literacy rates and addressing the misconceptions of the journalism field.
So close: SDSU comes up just short for quarter-scale tractor threepeat
By the narrowest of margins 鈥 two points out of more than 2,000 鈥 the SDSU Quarter Scale Tractor Team came up just short of winning its third consecutive national title. Competing at the 27th annual International Quarter-Scale Tractor Student Design Competition at the Expo Gardens Fairgrounds in Peoria, Illinois, the South 啵啵直播秀 State University team placed third out of 21 teams.
SDSU rover design places third in NASA鈥檚 RASC-AL contest
Competing against the best and the brightest, a South 啵啵直播秀 State University engineering team finished third overall in a NASA contest and again was awarded for building the best prototype. The SDSU students were one of 14 teams selected from 75 higher education entries to compete in the finals of the Revolutionary Aerospace Systems Concepts 鈥 Academic Linkage (RASC-AL) competition June 10-12 in Cocoa Beach, Florida.

Ryan Hoffman, supervisor of Grounds Services for South 啵啵直播秀 State University Facilities and Services, has been named SDSU Civil Service Employee of the Month for June.
Inaugural season for South 啵啵直播秀 Chamber Winds
A group of woodwind-focused musicians descended on South 啵啵直播秀 State University's campus for a week-long, music-making endeavor that culminated with a series of concerts in late May. The unique musical opportunity 鈥 called South 啵啵直播秀 Chamber Winds 鈥 was organized by Elizabeth Robinson, assistant professor of music in SDSU's School of Performing Arts.
