SDSU to host saxophone conference, concert

The South à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã State University School of Performing Arts has been tapped to host the North American Saxophone Alliance Region Three Conference March 7-9. SDSU saxophone and jazz lecturer Yiqun Chen is the conference organizer.
The conference involves professional musicians, teachers and students of the saxophone from North à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã, South à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã, Minnesota, Iowa and Nebraska in a series clinics, competitions and performances.
Featured guest artists for the conference are the members of the Colere Quartet. The Colere Quartet will perform an opening concert in the Oscar Larson Performing Arts Center’s Founders Recital Hall on Friday, March 7, at 7:30 p.m. The concert is free and open to the public.
Other keynote presenters are Ann Bradfield from the University of Northern Iowa and Kenneth Tse from the University of Iowa.
