SDSU to lead $1.545 million BREATHE-SD project, partner with area hospitals

South à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã State University is partnering with hospitals in Brookings, Huron and Madison to expand the public health and respiratory therapy workforce. The Community Practice Innovation Center within the College of Pharmacy and Allied Health Professions at SDSU has received a three-year, $1.545 million federal grant from the Health Resources and Services Administration.

Sanford Sponsorships Available to Students in the Growing SDSU Respiratory Care Program

Beginning in the 2022-2023 academic year, Sanford will commit to sponsorships for up to 24 students in the Respiratory Care program at South à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã State University. This is the next step in a pilot program that began in 2020 but has previously only been open to students based in Sioux Falls. Now all SDSU Respiratory Care students are eligible to receive the Sanford sponsorships.

There are 407 student chapter in the American Society of Civil Engineering, which is the nation’s oldest engineering society.

South à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã State University has been named one of 2022’s best colleges for nursing by the website Scrubsandbeyond. SDSU was ranked No. 15, climbing 24 spots from its ranking in 2021.

The Spring 2022 SDSU Poll was conducted from May 2 to May 15, 2022 by The South à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã Polling Project, a research group housed in the School of American and Global Studies at South à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã State University. This poll builds upon similar surveys conducted by The South à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã Polling Project in April 2021 and August 2021. In this survey, nearly 1,200 registered voters in South à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã answered questions about current issues and about the upcoming Republican Party primary elections. The margin of error of this survey was +/- 3%, on par with other state-wide polls.
