About Advising
Each MMC student is assigned an academic advisor who assists with development of the plan of study and acts as a resource on other aspects of the program. Prior to beginning the final project, each student is matched with a project advisor from the MMC graduate faculty. The Office of Continuing and Distance Education also supports students needing assistance with administrative and course enrollment issues.
Academic advisors and support staff try to respond to inquiries in a timely manner during the university's hours of operation. If you have questions your advisor cannot answer, they will work to either find the answer or get in touch with someone who can assist you.
Once you are accepted to the program, your first correspondence from the SDSU Graduate School will indicate who your advisor is. You should contact your advisor soon after your acceptance to introduce yourself and schedule a time to talk.
