This photograph shows a young man, Charles Lewis, Fedora, sitting on his father’s new tractor. Charles is just 10-years-old in this photo and is on top his dad’s 1936 CC Case tractor which he bought new for $1,050. This tractor brought so much attention at the time that the local school dismissed early so that all the kids could come and admire such a wondrous machine.

The Case C series of tractors from 1929 to 1939. The CC was a row crop tractor with a tricycle front. It had a 4-cylinder engine, had 3 forward gears and one reverse. It tested at 22.7 hp on the drawbar and 28.97 on the belt.
