The Allis Chalmers Model G tractor was produced at the Gadsen, AL factory between 1948-1955. It is a small tractor that is more like the motor cultivators of the 1920s than a tractor. It had an array of implements that could be attached to it--plow, cultivator, sickle mower, etc. The G was designed to be a used on small farms, truck farms, in landscape businesses and orchards and vineyards. The tractor is unique with its rear mounted gasoline engine. The Allis Chalmers G in the museum’s collection was used by the South à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã State University Plant Science Department.
