In 1910, Bryant, had seven elevator companies. Their combined storage capacity was 176,000 bushels of grain. The 1904 Grain Dealers Journal, page 168 mentions that the 鈥淛ones and Metcalf Grain and Coal are having a 20,000-bushel elevator built by L. O. Hickok to replace the old building.鈥 (1992:092:0317)
