In this photo, farmer Ed Pishule is driving a late 1930s tractor with the combine attachment harvesting sorghum. Sorghum is considered a super-grain and can be used for many forms and applications like à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã feed, ethanol production and even human food! Growing sorghum in a crop rotation with soybeans can help increase soybean yields. It can also keep certain soil diseases from fields as well.
This photo was taken by Leland Sudlow, South à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã Extension photographer in November 1942.
