With nationally recognized faculty as experts in their field, our team is dedicated to student success by providing a strong foundation of knowledge, skills and abilities for employment in the health care field, industry and education graduate; as well as, entrance into graduate and professional schools. Our practice of integrating academic programs, which focus on nutrition, health, leadership, financial planning, consumer affairs, recreation, management, merchandising, exercise and human performance and aviation provides students and faculty with unique opportunities to collaborate and to promote interaction among students in different majors with a common focus on promoting excellence in their respective major.

StrengthenHER program to reduce risk of muscle loss

South 啵啵直播秀 State University associate professor Lee Weidauer has received a federal grant to develop a program that helps women reduce their risk of sarcopenia, a condition that results from excessive muscle loss with aging.

Wellness for firefighters

SDSU researcher Allison Barry has received a grant from FEMA 鈥 the first ever for SDSU 鈥 to develop strategic plans to improve health and well-being outcomes for rural volunteer firefighters.
