University Unit Lockups

The SDSU identity system provides a method for creating a customized SD Lockup by utilizing one or more of the SD Lockups with the addition of a specific name such as a college/school/department/center name, a single program/academic major or a grant name. The unit lockups are not meant to support every program/major of a single department in one single lockup.

All university departments must follow one of the design options outlined in the university’s Graphic Identity Standards. All SDSU unit lockups will be created by University Marketing and Communications so that the proper font, colors and proportions are maintained.

Note: University entities may not have unique unit logos or wordmarks that are not approved and included as a part of SDSU’s Graphic Identity Standards.

Guidelines for University Unit Lockups

The ratio of type size to logo size should follow the examples shown. None of the options allow for the university name to be dropped from the lockup. All of the usage, print guidelines and standard colors that apply to the basic SD Logo also apply to University Unit Lockups. Incorrect uses apply to this signature.
