Campus Partners of the Year à£à£Ö±²¥Ðãs

Each year the SDSU Student Body recognizes outstanding faculty on the Brookings campus through the Students' Association Campus Partner of the Year à£à£Ö±²¥Ðãs. Anyone current SDSU student can nominate faculty from across campus and the nominations are reviewed by the Students' Association Board of Directors. There are four different categories including: Professional Academic Advisor, Faculty Advisor, Student Organization Advisor, and the Campus Partner award.

Professional Advisor of the Year

Steph Bebensee

Title: Professional Advisor for the College of Nursing

Steph Bebensee has received the 2024 Professional Advisor of the Year award thanks to her dedication and support for her students. Steph is known for her outstanding support and always assuring worrisome students that everything will be ok. According to the individual who nominated Steph, "Steph is the heart of this campus. She doesn't just see us as one of her advisees. She sees us as individual people with our own unique stories."

Faculty Advisor of the Year

Captain Brandon Reese

Title: Assistant Professor for Aerospace Studies (Air Force ROTC)

Captain Brandon Reese has received the 2024 Professional Advisor of the Year award thanks to the compassion he shows for his students and the positive impact he has had on student's lives. According to the individual who nominated Captain Reese, "Captain Reese goes out of his way to make sure his students are doing well both mentally and physically. He goes above and beyond to positively impact students by ensuring they understand assignments and are familiar with the resources available to them."

Student Organization Advisor of the Year

Dr. Brittany Meyer

Title: Co-Advisor of the Student Collaboration for the Advancement and Promotion of Pharmacy club (SCAPP) 

Dr. Brittany Meyer has received the 2024 Student Organization Advisor of the Year award thanks to her drive to ensure every student is heard. Dr. Meyer has even mentored through grant writing processes to address issues students are seeing on campus. According to the individual who nominated Dr. Meyer, "her kindness and commitment to student growth shows no bounds and we are so very fortunate to have her as a part of our campus community."

Campus Partner of the Year

Dr. Kim Grieve

Title: Interim Vice President of Student Affairs

Dr. Kim Grieve has received the 2024 Campus Partner of the Year award due to the positive mark she has made in her short time at SDSU, the support she gives to student initiatives, and the smile she carries wherever she goes. According to the individual who nominated Dr. Grieve, "Every day at SDSU, she sought to place students' needs and priorities first. She was a consistent advocate and champion for every single student at SDSU. making the university better in her short time serving it." Congratulations Dr. Kim Grieve on receiving the 2024 Campus Partner of the Year award!


About Each à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã

The Professional Advisor of the Year à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã is awarded to an outstanding professional advisor who has gone above and beyond for their students. Nominations for this award open during the middle of the Spring semester and all students are encouraged to nominate their advisor. Nominees must advise a professional academic program and currently employed by South à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã State University.

The Faculty Advisor of the Year à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã is awarded to an outstanding faculty member who supports Jackrabbits throughout their time at SDSU. Nominations for this award open during the middle of the Spring semester and all students are encouraged to nominate a faculty member they feel had an impact on their time at SDSU. Nominees must be classified as a faculty member and currently employed by South à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã State University.

Student Organizations are the backbone of student activities and success! The Student Organization Advisor of the Year à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã is awarded to an outstanding student organization advisor. Nominations for this award open during the middle of the Spring semester and students are encouraged to nominate their student organization advisor. Nominees must advisor a current student organization and be employed by South à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã State University.

The Campus Partner of the Year à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã is awarded to an individual that has gone above and beyond supporting the everyday roles and functions of the university providing a greater SDSU experience. Nominations for this award open during the middle of the Spring semester and students are encouraged to nominate individuals from across campus that have supported them in a variety of ways. Nominees must be currently employed by South à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã State University.
