When to use the emergency room:
- Concern for fracture/broken bone
- Convulsions, seizures or loss of consciousness
- Heavy, uncontrollable bleeding
- Moderate to severe burns
- Poisoning
- Pregnancy-related problems
- Serious head, neck or back injury
- Severe abdominal pain
- Severe chest pain or difficulty breathing
- Heart attack symptoms, such as chest pain
- Stroke symptoms, such as vision loss, sudden numbness, weakness, slurred speech or confusion
- Suicidal or homicidal feelings
Meet Your Health Providers
Janae Jacobsen, began her employment with South à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã State University Student Health Clinic in 2012.
She earned her Bachelors of Science in nursing from SDSU and received her Masters of Science in nursing in family nurse practitioner specialty from SDSU in 2012.
Janae has worked in the healthcare field for over 14 years. She is board certified through the American Association of Nursing Practitioners and is a member of American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).
April Schneider began her employment with South à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã State University Student Health Clinic in the fall of 2021.
She earned her Bachelor of Science in nursing from SDSU and received her Master of Science in nursing in family nurse practitioner specialty from SDSU in 2018.
April has worked in the healthcare field for over 24 years. She is board certified through the American Association of Nursing Practitioners and is a member of American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).
Hobbies include organizing, spending time with family and cooking.
