Mission and Vision

The Mission, Vision and Values of the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department align with those of South à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã State University as outlined in the University strategic plan, Pathway to Premier 2030.

Academic Programs

The department offers Bachelor of Science (B.S.), Master of Science (M.S.) and Doctorate of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degrees in civil engineering. Emphasis areas include environmental, geotechnical, structural, transportation and water resources and hydraulic engineering.

Our Programs
Faculty

Our current faculty consists of twelve highly dedicated individuals, eleven of which hold terminal degrees (Ph.D.). The majority of our faculty members are registered professional engineers. In addition to teaching, our faculty advise students through the curriculum, conduct research in their respective fields and across the disciplines and supervise graduate students.

Laboratories and Facilities
The student-support space includes: The Banner Associates Capstone Design Studio, a computer lab and graduate students offices

Our laboratory and research facilities include: The Lohr Structures Lab, the Fluid Mechanics Lab, The HDR Environmental Lab, the Asphalt Lab, the Materials and Concrete Lab, the Geotechnical Lab, the Transportation Lab
